Kupuna in the Classroom-Aunty Lynn

KHON2 News came to Lunalilo to interview Aunty Lynn. She is a classroom volunteer through the Kupuna in the Classroom program. Aunty Lynn helps our students and teachers with a variety of tasks. Here is the Kupuna news clip. Mahalo to Aunty Lynn for her service.

Operation Wildlife with Grade 4

Mahalo to the Assistance League of Hawaii for presenting their Operation Wildlife to our Grade 4 students. Students were so enthused to be able to touch, hold, and see endangered species biofacts. The presentation focused on animal endangerment and preservation. Photos can be seen on our twitter page.

McCully District Park-Spring Session

Families, McCully District Park is now having it's Spring Session sign-up. There are a lot of activites for your child to participate in. See our Community Engagement page for a list of courses.

Computer Science Education Week-Hour of Code

We had another successful year celebrating Computer Science Education Week by having an Hour of Code.  The Hour of Code is a world-wide event that helps promote Computer Science Education in schools. View video highlights from the week's event.

Need Volunteers and Part Time Workers

If you have time to donate or are interested in working as a part-time employee on our campus, we have the need of the following: Classroom volunteers/helpers, Classroom Cleaners (employment), Adult Supervisors (employment), and Part-Time Teacher (employment). Please email wendy.kau@k12.hi.us if interested. Please note that hours are limited to 17-19 hours per week for the hired positions.
